  • Type 3: Hydrogen, Liquid oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Xenon

  • Type 4: Hydrogen, Nitrous Oxide

  • Type 5: High pressure

 
The Nitrous Oxide tanks are in use, while the other tanks are being assessed for field testing

From primary and secondary structures to precision structural components, our focus is on delivering low-mass, high-performance structures engineered for space.

OPTIC STRUCTURES

Petrawell designs and manufactures precision filament-wound composite tubes engineered around specific structural and dimensional requirements. Fibre architecture, material selection and laminate design are tailored to achieve the required combination of strength, stiffness, mass and coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE).Structures can be manufactured from aerospace-grade carbon, glass and aramid fibres, or hybrid combinations, with precision-ground outside diameters available for demanding dimensional and interface requirements.
